Little Love Story

True Love

They've learned more from the horses than they ever will from me.

They've become confident on the back of their daddy's bay.

They've learned that patience and trust are earned, thanks to their mom's sorrel.

They've seen what happens when you don't give them your attention, thanks to that goofy black colt who always has a mind of his own.

Someday they will learn to let these horses carry them through the hard times, and how to fly on the wind.

They will fall in love so hard with these ponies, and will eventually carry the weight of the inevitable end of the fairy tale some day down the road.

But for now, they swoon at the sight of the cowhorses coming in for grain. They rub their hands down the faces of their best friends, they run their fingers through their manes, and they kiss their necks and tell them their secrets.

I could never write a better love story.

❤️ Richelle
