Branding Day

Branding day-

When even the best cowboys get the jitters,
Horses are cold backed and higher than a kite,
Cold beers and conversations flow like water from a spring,

Friends and neighbors and family members put aside their differences and come together for a common goal,
Kids learn how to use a paint stick, how to wrestle, and how to rope,

Traditions are passed on,
Pairs are kicked out in green grass,
And a hot meal is devoured by exhausted men, women, and children.
