A "T" in the Road

Life is constantly evolving. You start traveling down one road, thinking you are safe and you've got this plan and you are doing so great. Suddenly, you hit a "T" in the road, your car breaks down, your security blanket flies out the window, and everything is turned upside down.

What now?

You know you have to move. Do you turn and try something totally new? Do you go back and travel down that same old road you've been on for years - the one that is easy for a while, until you suddenly find yourself in the bottom of a deep ravine, sad and lonely and stressed?

For some of us,  we need to light a match and watch the old road burn.

Perhaps from the ashes left behind, we can allow ourselves to change. The change forces us to go a new direction. Forces us to evolve again. It is scary and uncomfortable, yet beautiful and liberating.

Sometimes the best beginnings start after the roughest endings. Doors have to close, for new ones to open.

If you are like me, and find yourself facing a pile of ashes behind you and unopened doors ahead of you, have faith. God works in strange ways, and while His timing rarely makes sense, He always opens the door you need right when you need it.
