Food Insecurity

What if we treated food like the necessity it is, and not the luxury we've turned it into?

What if all the money used to put unnecessary labels on our food was used to stock soup kitchens, school pantries, food banks, and school food programs? What if we stopped shaming others when they choose dairy, or beef, or tofu? There is a need for all of it. Last I checked, we all need to eat to survive. If you don't like something... Don't consume it. Some people have reasons for what they buy, and don't need to explain it to anyone else.

Instead of turning a nose up at an ugly apple, or making others feel bad for making different choices than you, find a way to turn that energy into a positive way to impact food insecurity.

Until every child goes to bed with a full belly, none of us have a right to complain about the food we have access to.

Just my thoughts.
