Grace, Love, and Kindness

That woman you gave the stink eye to in the checkout line, when you saw her dirty boots and jeans that were speckled with mud and manure - you'll never know that yesterday, she negotiated a huge business deal in a pant suit and high heels. She stayed home today to work her cattle with her family, and needed to stop and get groceries - just like you.

That guy whose arms and hands were covered in tattoos that you steered your kids away from in the mall- you'll never know that those tattoos are all he has left of his brothers lost in war. He's not dangerous or scary-he has babies at home who he cradles with those same arms.

That cashier you yelled at when your apples rang up thirty cents more than the price on shelf- you'll never know that she just showed up after working two other jobs, because she has a family to provide for.

All those people you pass judgment on, are human just like you. Unless you are free of mistakes in your own life, give people some grace. Our job on earth is not to pass judgment - that is saved for the man upstairs.

Sometimes, the few seconds you spend passing through another person's life could be the difference between saving or ending it. Choose wisely. Love hard. Be kind.
